We’ll ask you a bit about you, your business, and the best way to reach you. Once submitted, you’ll receive an email to confirm that we’ve received your online application.

Step 4. We’ll be in touch

We’ll contact you within 1 business day to chat to you about tailoring the product to suit your business needs and complete your application. A copy of the NAB Merchant Agreement and conditional letter of offer will be emailed to you following this step.

Before you begin

Make sure you hold one of the following positions:

  • You’re the business owner or director of an Australian private company.

  • You’re an office holder in a not-for-profit, community club or community organisation.

Eligibility criteria

Please ensure you meet all following eligibility criteria:

  • You have an active ABN.

  • You’ve not had a merchant facility terminated by an Australian financial institution within the last 12 months.

Is your website compatible with NAB Transact?

Before applying for NAB Transact, check with your website provider to confirm that your website is compatible.

Is your website compatible with a NAB eCommerce Merchant account?

Before applying for a NAB eCommerce Merchant account, check to see that your existing gateway provider can integrate with us.

Getting your website ready

Your website will need to include the following information:

  • Your business name (and ABN as applicable).

  • The address of your place of business in Australia (not a PO Box).

  • Your business contact details, including telephone and email address.

  • Clear descriptions of the products and/or services being offered to customers, including price in relevant currency.

  • Your refund exchange policy, including the process for cancellation of a transaction by a cardholder.

  • Your delivery timeframe for goods and services.

  • Details of any Australian export restrictions (if applicable).

  • Your privacy policy and how you intend to deal with, or share, personal information obtained from and about the cardholder.

  • A description of the measures you have in place to maintain the security of cardholder's account data.

A NAB Merchant Solution is available provided you meet NAB’s standard merchant approval criteria. NAB is under no obligation to commence supplying merchant services to you until NAB determines in its discretion that you have met those criteria.
