Express Business Deposit (EBD)

The Express Business Deposit (EBD) service allows customers to deposit cash in a tamper-proof plastic bag at any EBD collection point. EBD is only available to business customers with eligible accounts.

You can deposit:

  • AUD cash (notes only) with a minimum deposit of $500.
  • AUD cash (notes and coins) with a minimum deposit of $500. Coins should not exceed $300, of which no more than $100 can be silver coins, due to weight limitations.
  • AUD cash (coins only) with a maximum deposit of $300, of which no more than $100 can be silver coins (due to weight limitations). There is no minimum deposit for coin-only EBD bags.

Deposits are credited on the same business day, subject to terms and conditions.

An EBD collection point is any NAB branch with a Business Express Machine, Express Business Deposit Machine, or an EBD chute.

The EBD service is only available to eligible business customers. Speak with a NAB business banker to find out more.

Using a Coin Deposit Machine to deposit funds into a NAB business account is considered an Express Business Deposit (EBD) and will incur the applicable EBD fee.

Third-party cash collection solutions

If you’re a business customer servicing multiple locations, you may consider exploring opportunities for cash collection. Speak with your NAB business banker to find out more.

Express Cheque Deposit (ECD)

The Express Cheque Deposit (ECD) service allows customers to deposit cheques using a paper envelope at any EBD collection point. ECD is available to all customers.

You can make AUD cheque deposits at any NAB branch.

Cheques deposited by 4:00pm may take up to two banking days to process, subject to terms and conditions. This doesn’t include third-party cheques.

You can find ECD envelopes and deposit instructions at NAB branches. You can deposit ECD envelopes into a Express Business Deposit Machine, Business Express Machine, or an EBD chute at any NAB branch.

You can also deposit cheques using mobile cheque deposit.
