Lord Mayor of Melbourne to open NAB's New Docklands branch

The Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So, will officially open National Australia Bank's new bank branch at Docklands today.

NAB's Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Australia, Ahmed Fahour and Chairman Graham Kraehe will join the Lord Mayor, staff and customers at the official celebrations.

Mr Fahour said the opening of the Docklands branch underlines the National's ongoing investment in its branch network in Victoria.

"The National is the first bank to open a branch at Docklands, and this reinforces our   commitment to servicing the growing business and residential community in this area," Mr Fahour said.

With the recent opening of new integrated financial service centres in Ballarat and West Footscray, the National has 221 branches and agencies servicing customers in Victoria, and more than 800 across Australia.

The Docklands branch offers the full suite of banking services, including transactional banking, express deposit facilities, ATM access, personal and home lending, financial planning advice and business lending.

The new branch is located on the ground floor of the Bligh Voller Nield-designed National@Docklands site at 800 Bourke Street, and complements the workplace and design values of the National's award-winning headquarters.
