NAB Challenge comes to Mildura

Like everyone in Mildura, National Australia Bank people are shocked and saddened by the recent tragedy that took the lives of six local teenagers.

NAB's executive team has expressed the bank's condolences to the families and added that the bank also wanted to make a practical contribution.

NAB CEO Australia Ahmed Fahour said: "We instantly embraced the idea put to us by the AFL that they could arrange a NAB Challenge football match in Mildura."

NAB Regional Executive Retail North West Victoria Peter Harrison added: "Our association with AFL football gives us the opportunity to get involved and give the people of Mildura, who have been devastated by this tragedy, something to look forward to.

"NAB will contribute $20,000 to the trust fund being administered by the Mildura Rural City Council."

NAB will be officially represented at the NAB Challenge match, to be played at Red Cliffs Oval on 17 March, by Peter Harrison, along with Regional Agribusiness Manager Hugh Flett and Regional Executive Business Brian Figg.

NAB employees will also be out in force.
