Australia's women's basketball team, the Opals, last night defeated New Zealand 77-39 to take out the sport's inaugural Commonwealth Games gold medal.
The Australians were dominant from the start with co-captain and WNBA star Lauren Jackson the highest scorer with 23 points.
In a close game for bronze, England defeated Nigeria 78-75.
The Boomers take on New Zealand in men's basketball final at Melbourne Park today.
