My career at NAB started as a Graduate Trainee in their Business Banking sector. During this stage, I was exposed to both the back-office and front-line environments, which has allowed me to gain a better understanding of how the Bank works from an inside-out perspective. This great learning experience allowed me to succeed as a Business Analyst in the Projects sector. Today, my focus and challenge is now on improving staff efficiency and also streamlining the various Bank's processes. In a nutshell, working to make life easier for both our customers and staff. What gets me out of bed each morning is knowing that the work I'll be doing can help play a valuable part in changing our Bank's processes for the benefit of everyone internal and external to NAB. I joined NAB straight after high school, 17 years ago, because I was drawn to their reputation. Since then I've enjoyed many varied and diverse roles, from customer enquiries officer to job evaluation analyst.
I'm now a Team Leader in the People Advisory Centre. This is part of our HR call centre, which serves the 23,000 Australian employees of the NAB & MLC.
My husband also works at NAB. This has proven ideal for us as we both work part time to allow us to share the care of our daughter. We've shared the parenting role right from when she was born by taking six months parental leave each.
It's NAB's commitment to work and life balance that enables me to continue my career and spend time with my family without having to compromise either.

I began my career at NAB on the Graduate Program, which was a fantastic way to meet other NAB graduates and be given opportunities to undertake leadership training and attend social events. NAB provided me with the opportunity to demonstrate my skills and abilities during the graduate intake which demonstrated their commitment to diversity, as I am totally blind.
I was promoted to Programmer in January 2007 and have continued working in the PC Development team which develop, support and maintain many of the frontend applications installed on the branch workstations.
I like working at NAB because I work in a great team with friendly people. I was given responsibility for the enhancement and release of frontend applications used Australia wide right from the start. When I think of all the customers who are assisted by thousands of bankers using applications that I have helped to enhance, it is most rewarding. I look forward to my future here at NAB.

I began at NAB in October 2006. My role involves leading the operational services and supporting the Marketing Planning and Performance team in the delivery of a cohesive operational marketing plan. I also offer general administrative and office support to all Marketing Australia business units.
My short experience with NAB has provided a diverse, challenging and motivating environment where individual involvement and contributions are welcomed and encouraged.
With such great scope and variety of business sectors, I'm both excited and intrigued at the prospect of developing my career at NAB.

NAB has provided me with many opportunities, from Branches to Cards Australia to my current role as Team Leader within Collections. I have met different people and made many friends along the way.
As a result of a hereditary condition, I lost most of my vision, leaving me legally blind. Throughout the time I was absent from work, adjusting to and accepting my condition, the Bank made a commitment that I would have a job waiting for me when I was ready to return. 25 years later, with my career at NAB now spanning 28 years, I am as passionate about the organisation and motivated for us to succeed as I was on my first day.
I feel that NAB has been as committed to me, as I have to it. As an employer of people with disabilities NAB is second to none in the support it provides.

I joined NAB in Corporate Advisory, Group Legal in 1999. I was involved in many important acquisition/divestment initiatives such as the acquisition of MLC and the sales of Michigan National and Homeside. I had the opportunity to travel extensively and interact with personnel at all levels including Principal Board Sub-committees.
In November 2004, I took up a newly created legal role in Capital Management and International Trade. As NAB reinvigorates its trade and working capital capabilities, it's been fulfilling to see NAB regain its market share and support some of the top people in trade and working capital.
And even after eight years, I still feel very privileged to work with my colleagues who have incredibly high levels of professionalism and integrity.

NAB has been such a fantastic career move. Previously, whilst I was working with another banking institution, I decided I wanted to work for a company that had known success, passion for its products and customers as well as fantastic support for their staff. That company was, of course, NAB.
The support from management and fellow staff is really refreshing. I recently completed an internal mentor program, which has broadened my knowledge of the company and helped me to build strong internal relationships with senior managers and peers.
One of the main outtakes of the mentor program for me was NAB's success and drive to be number one. This has rubbed off on me. I am truly motivated to achieve as much as I can and I know NAB will help me every step of the way.

I joined NAB as a teller about eight years ago, believing I could further my career opportunities. And I was absolutely right.
With a little bit of hard work, study and persistence I became a Financial Planning Assistant, Trainee Planner and finally a fully qualified Financial Planner.
NAB continues to support me in my growth as I strive to gain the highest financial planning qualification of CFP.
In a changing industry there have definitely been highs and lows but being part of an organisation that truly believes in what they do and who always puts their clients first has been a fantastic experience.

My career started at MLC Limited, which is part of the National Australia Bank Group. I joined the Group Risk Insurance team on a contract basis for 12 months. My role at the time was to assist the team with the backlog of reviews.
Prior to my contract expiring I was offered the role of Team Leader. I then moved to my current role as Team Manager MLC Group Insurance, which is extremely challenging and rewarding.
One of the great things about working for MLC and NAB is the continuing internal training and assistance they offer. Courses applicable to our roles are always available and we're encouraged to attend these sessions. I've found them incredibly helpful and insightful.

My career at NAB only started six months ago but already I'm extremely happy. I came to NAB through an employment agency and, as I had been unemployed for some time, I was worried about taking on such an unknown role. However, it's proven to be the best decision I've ever made.
My experience as a teller has given me a lot of new found confidence. I enjoy meeting and chatting with customers and I've learnt there is much more to banking than just money.
Every day is a new journey for me as I am learning new and exciting things constantly. I look forward to going to work because I've finally found something I really enjoy. I hope to be with NAB for a very long time.

I started working at NAB as Team Assistant for the Office of the CEO Australia. After six months I became an Executive Assistant to an EGM within the Australian ExCo. I've just recently moved offices to work within Group in the area of Development & New Business.
I initially took the job at NAB as I saw it as a great opportunity to work in a large organisation at a level that demanded great responsibility. And to date, that prediction has proven very true. I've been rewarded with a number of challenging and interesting opportunities. At NAB, no two days are the same.
Of course, having a friendly and supportive team also makes coming to work a pleasurable experience. I'm really excited about what the future holds for me at NAB.

During my seven years working at NAB I have seen and been a part of much development and change. I started with NAB as a Service Adviser on the phone and am now a People Leader for Service Advisers. From my experience NAB provides people with a great opportunity to grow and find a role that's right for them.
Regardless where your next career step is with NAB you will be supported and encouraged to be the best and to deliver the greatest shopping experience to our customers.
I currently work in Direct where our team has made great inroads to deliver a high standard of service and make a difference to each and every customer we make contact with. Throughout my time at Direct I have been able to be a part of an environment of fun, yet challenging experiences. One of the best things about Direct is the people and our diverse culture.
I look forward to growing my career at NAB and encourage anyone to join our team.

NAB has provided me with challenges and opportunities that have allowed me to grow both personally and professionally and I feel truly proud to work for, and represent, a world -class financial institution.
Since starting my career in the contact centre eight years ago, I've worked primarily on projects, including assisting to deliver our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool across Australia. I then joined a small niche team concentrating on process improvement. I was incredibly excited to work in the Operational Risk team on the Basel II program, which helps deliver and change the way NAB manages and assesses risk.
I really think that in our industry its service which distinguishes us from our competitors so it's exciting to know that I have the ability to make decisions that can drive and enhance the customer experience.

After a long nursing career, I experienced a desire for new challenges. So after completing a Business & Commerce degree I began a new career at NAB as a Business Banker graduate.
While I was attracted to NAB because of its prominence and success as an international company, it was its organisational culture and strategic direction that I found compelling.
NAB's corporate culture embraces demographic diversity and equal opportunity among its employees. Its focus on corporate responsibility assures it remains a powerful force in the business environment.
I look forward to becoming more involved in the training, education and development NAB offers. I anticipate, and certainly hope, that my career at NAB will be as dynamic as the company itself.
