Working at NAB
How do promotions take place?
Promotion is based on individual merit, and the availability of and/or business need for a role at a higher level. We take into account your performance, tertiary qualifications and work experience to date, along with your main areas of interest, the level of motivation you demonstrate and your commitment to self-development. NAB has adopted an integrated approach to training and development, to provide you with every assistance in reaching your career goals. As one of our employees, you'll have many opportunities to discuss career plans.
What training is offered?
Regardless of the business area our graduates work in, we offer some core development and networking opportunities to everyone. In addition, each business unit program has specific training and development tailored to that area of the business. This training is designed to ensure you are well equipped to succeed in the business unit you work in, but also provides you with an excellent base to move into other areas of our business further down the track.
What is the starting salary for a graduate?
Our graduate starting salaries are market matched with our competitors. Salaries vary depending on the area of business in which you work. All employees are paid a base salary and a Short Term Incentive, a percentage of their gross salary, based on their performance over 12 months. Salaries are in the range of $50000 to $65000, with incentives varying from 2.5% to 5%
