About Gold Rewards & Joining

What is Gold Rewards?
Gold Rewards is the exciting rewards program attached to the NAB Gold Rewards Credit Card. You can use your NAB Gold Rewards Card here or overseas to shop, travel or pay your bills via BPAY®.  You can also earn points towards flights, accommodation, car hire, holidays, vouchers and more. Even redeem your points for Qantas Frequent Flyer points if you're a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.2

How do I join the program?
To join the program, simply apply successfully for a NAB Gold Rewards Card. You can apply online, by phone on 13 13 12 (8am–9pm EST, 7 days a week) or by completing an application form at a NAB branch.

How much does it cost?

Earning

How do I earn Gold Rewards points?
Use your NAB Gold Rewards Card and earn points on eligible purchases.4 Plus, earn bonus points through our bonus point providers.

How many points can I earn?
Every time you use your NAB Gold Rewards Card for eligible purchases you'll earn rewards points up to the following monthly limits:

Monthly spend* on eligible transactions

Points earned

Up to $3,000 1 point per $1
$3,001 - $10,000 1 point per $2
$10,001 and over Nil

* Debited to your NAB Gold Rewards Card account in a statement period in accordance with the NAB Gold Rewards Terms and Conditions.

Earn unlimited bonus points when you use your NAB Gold Rewards Card at a range bonus point providers, including Budget Car and Truck Rental, Harvey World Travel, Hertz car rental, Australian Wine Selectors, participating hotels and resorts at Asia Pacific Radisson Hotels and Resorts and Asia Pacific Radisson Plaza Hotels and Resorts, and Showbiz, just to name a few.

How can I earn points faster?
Earn points faster with NAB Gold Rewards bonus point providers. Bonus points offers may change so make sure you visit our site regularly.

How can I check my points balance?
If your account is active, we'll send you regular statements to let you know how many points you have earned. Or, simply give us a call on 1300 650 456, 8am - 8pm EST Monday to Friday.

How long are my points valid?
Three years. Your points expire 36 months after the end of the month in which the points were recorded.

What sort of rewards can I get?
The rewards on offer include flights, accommodation, car hire, holiday packages5, merchandise, credit to your NAB Gold Rewards Card account1 and a huge range of vouchers with our shopping, entertainment and leisure providers. And if you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can also redeem points for Qantas Frequent Flyer points.2 Check out rewards options using the online NAB Gold Rewards Search.

Choose from a range of rewards options online with NAB Gold Rewards Search. You'll find hundreds of reward options here as well as the opportunity to redeem points for credit.

Redeeming

How do I redeem my points?
Just call the NAB Gold Card Centre on 1300 650 456, 8am - 8pm EST, Monday to Friday and we'll arrange your redemption over the phone.

What if I don't have enough points to pay for my whole trip?
You can travel whenever you want to - even if you don't have enough NAB Gold Rewards points. If you book your travel through Harvey World Travel and have at least 10 points you can top them up with cash or credit when you make your bookings. And, if you pay with your NAB Gold Rewards Card, you can earn points while you're topping up!

What's the redemption rate for Qantas Frequent Flyer points?
If you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can redeem your points for Qantas Frequent Flyer points at a rate of 1.5 NAB Gold Rewards points for 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point.2

Important information

Approval of a NAB credit card is subject to NAB's credit assessment criteria. Fees and charges apply. Terms and Conditions available on application. Full details of the terms and conditions relating to the NAB Gold Rewards Program are set out in the Gold Rewards Terms and Conditions.

  1. Credit is available for your use provided your account is in sufficient credit. You still need to make the minimum payment required by your NAB Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
  2. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program in order to redeem points for Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. A joining fee applies. Requests for redemption must be in multiples of 1,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
  3. Annual Program fee is subject to change. Correct as at 1 July 2007. View full details of fees and charges.
  4. Excludes cash advances (including bills paid over the counter at a bank, financial institution or post office and purchases of travellers cheques) or when a NAB Gold Rewards Credit Card is used as a debit card to access linked accounts or transactions we decide are wholly or partly for a business or investment purpose.  Also excludes fees and charges (including government fees and charges), interest charges, transactions which are disputed, fraudulent or involve abuse of your NAB Gold Rewards Card account, payments and purchases which are refunded and reimbursed.
  5. All travel is booked through the NAB Gold Rewards travel rewards provider, Harvey World Travel Service ABN 77 094 188 100.

Other important information

A credit card offers you great flexibility and convenience. But it’s important to remember, like any debt, you will have to repay it. If you are unsure as to whether you will be able to manage repayments for a new credit card, then you should not consider taking up a NAB credit card at this point in time.
