How to change your banking details to your new NAB smart everyday account
NAB makes it simple to switch your everyday banking from another financial institution, so you can get on with more important things.

What information you'll need
|
It’s a good idea to have the following information on hand before you start:

A list of regular payments out of your account eg rent, phone bills, power bills. Look at old statements to get your list started

A list of regular payments into your account eg salary, share dividends, government allowances. Old statements will help here too

Details of the accounts you want to close - account name, BSB and account numbers

Your new NAB everyday bank account details – account name, six digit BSB and nine digit account number

- Arrange to have your salary paid into your new NAB everyday bank account
- Stop payments into and out of your old accounts
- Set up payments into and out of your new NAB everyday bank account
- Transfer any funds from your old accounts to your new NAB everyday bank account
- Close your old accounts once your payments have been updated

Transferring your salary to your new account - If you want to pay your salary to your new NAB account, complete and send this form to your employer to request your employer to pay your salary to your new account. (Please note that you are responsible for ensuring the information supplied is accurate and that your salary is successfully redirected.)

Changing direct credits - Where a company pays money to you by direct credit, and you want this payment to be made to your new NAB account, complete and send this form to the relevant company to request the company to pay the direct credit to your new account.

Changing direct debits - If you pay a company by direct debit and you want the payment to be directly debited to your new NAB account, complete and send this form to the relevant company to ask the company to directly debit the payment to your new NAB account.
