Though a life insurance policy can provide for your loved ones in the event of your untimely death, who would provide for your family if you were totally and permanently disabled, effectively losing your ability to earn an income forever.
To ensure you are completely protected, you can choose to add Total and Permanent Disability insurance to your Life Cover. This cover provides you with a lump sum benefit (up to $3,000,000) in the event of you suffering total and permanent disablement, rendering you unable to earn an income. After age 65, this benefit converts to Loss of Independence (up to a maximum of $500,000) which is based on your ability to care for yourself.
