National Australia Bank reduces fixed rates

Effective today, Monday, 13 October 2008, National Australia Bank announced it had reduced its fixed rates by up to 1.60%.

NAB’s new fixed rates will be some of the most competitive in the market.

1 year: 7.29% pa 2 year: 6.99% pa 3 year: 7.39% pa 4 year: 7.39% pa 5 year: 7.39% pa 10 year: 7.49% pa 1 year Intro: 6.99% pa (effective Friday, 10 October 2008) 3 year Intro: 7.19% pa

Ahmed Fahour, Executive Director and CEO Australia, said NAB was focused on doing everything it could to help customers.

"These new fixed rates are some of the most competitive in the market, and offer customers an option to lock in effectively more than three RBA 0.25% rate cuts immediately.

“Combined with our competitive variable rates, this gives our customers the benefit of locking in some certainty during these economically volatile times."
