NAB's private bank creates wealth services division

NAB Private Wealth, the private banking business within MLC & NAB Wealth, today announced the creation of a new wealth services division.

Will Hamilton has been appointed General Manager of Wealth Services and will report to Angela Mentis, Executive General Manager of NAB Private Wealth.

The new division focuses on providing customised wealth advice and tailored investment solutions to high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

It sits alongside the private bank’s traditional relationship banking capability and brings together NAB Private Wealth’s investment strategy and solutions, research, financial planning, estate planning, philanthropy, private custody, and trustee professionals.

Executive General Manager of NAB Private Wealth, Angela Mentis, said: “The establishment of the wealth services division is the latest step in our strategy to deliver genuine wealth advice and investment capabilities tailored for high and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

“It will enhance our holistic banking and wealth capability, and deepen our position as our clients’ trusted adviser.”

Mr Hamilton joins NAB Private Wealth from Westpac Private Bank where he was State Manager for Victoria & South Australia and Head of Premium Wealth Services. He takes up his new role at NAB Private Wealth on 15 June 2009.

The division’s investment strategy, research and solutions function will be headed by NAB Private Wealth Chief Investment Officer Philip Kimball. Mr Kimball joined NAB from Citigroup in February 2009 to augment the private bank’s investment capability. He will report to Mr Hamilton.
