NAB donates $100,000 to Red Cross Tasmanian Bushfires 2013 Appeal

10 January 2013

NAB has today announced it will donate $100,000 to the Red Cross Tasmanian Bushfires 2013 Appeal to assist with the recovery from the worst fires to hit the state in years.

NAB Retail General Manager for Tasmania Paul Collins said NAB was committed to support those affected by the Bushfires in Tasmania.

“Our thoughts are with those people and communities impacted by these bushfires,” he said.

“As one of Australia’s major banks with staff and customers in Tasmania, NAB has a commitment to the area and wants to contribute to the recovery effort.”

Earlier this week, NAB established a Natural Disaster Relief package, which is available to all customers affected by the bushfires in Tasmania, including suspending home loan repayments and waiving costs and charges for withdrawing term deposits early.

Customers are encouraged to contact the bank – business customers should contact their banker – to discuss their individual circumstances and work out the best way to help.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the recovery effort can make a donation to the Red Cross Tasmanian Bushfires 2013 Appeal at NAB branches across Australia, or through internet banking

For more information and assistance, customers can visit their local NAB branch, contact their banker directly or call NAB Care on 1800 701 599.
