Entry Requirements

  • Entrants must be existing customers of NAB as at the start date of the Competition Period; and
  • Entrants must be an Australian resident aged 18 years or over.

Ineligible Entrants

  • Entrants aged under 18 years at the start date of the competition or individuals who otherwise do not meet the Entry Requirements.
  • Employees and contractors of NAB and their immediate families and the agencies or companies associated with the competition are not permitted to enter.

Competition Period

Competition commences on 13/10/2016 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on 21/10/2016.

Entry Method 

  • To enter, individuals must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:
  • View and click on a promotional post, advertising the Competition, which will take individuals to an entry form on a separate website. NAB will determine, in its absolute discretion, where and when promotional posts will appear;
  • input the requested details into the entry form on the website as prompted including their full name, email address, telephone number, state/territory and confirmation that they are an existing NAB customer;
  • answer the question “What is your favourite Ronan Keating song and why?” in twenty five (25) words or less (“Competition Question”); and 
  • submit the fully completed entry form.

Entry Details

For the removal of doubt, providing an answer to the Competition Question directly to a promotional post or otherwise on the NAB Facebook page or NAB Twitter Page, or via any website or method other than the promotional website, will not constitute as a valid entry into the competition. Only entries submitted via the promotional website will be considered, as outlined under Entry Method.

Viewing of promotional posts will be dependent on entrants following and acting in accordance with the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which can be viewed at or the Twitter Terms of Service (which can be found at, as applicable.

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Twitter. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to NAB and not to Facebook or Twitter. The information an entrant provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to NAB and not to Facebook or Twitter. Facebook or Twitter will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained by an entrant, as a result of participating in the Competition (including taking/use of a prize), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Maximum Number of Entries

One (1) entry is permitted per person

Judging Criteria

Each valid entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit of the answer provided to the Competition Question.

Judging Date and Location

The judging will take place at Handling Matters, 1/3 Green Street Brookvale NSW 2100 commencing on 25/10/2016. The judges may select additional reserve entries, which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.

Prize Details

Entries will be divided into the following State/Territory groups, based on an entrant’s State/Territory of residence: NSW/ACT, SA, VIC, WA and QLD. The best ten (10) valid entries in each State/Territory group, as determined by the judges, will each win a double pass to see Ronan Keating live in concert valued at between $199.90-$259.80. Each concert will take place on the following dates and locations:

  • NSW/ACT winners – Civic Theatre Newcastle on 10/11/2016;
  • NSW/ACT winners –  State Theatre Sydney on 01/11/2016;
  • VIC winners – Hamer Hall Arts Centre Melbourne on 28/10/2016;
  • QLD winners – Concert Hall QPAC Brisbane on 08/11/2016;
  • SA winners – Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 30/10/2016; and
  • WA winners – Kings Park Perth on 12/11/2016.

Prize Conditions

Prize includes tickets only and each winner and their companion will be responsible for their own travel to and from the event. NSW/ACT winners will receive a double pass to either the Newcastle or Sydney concert, to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.

The Ronan Keating tickets are subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject any winner (and/or his/her companion) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Prize.

The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If a winner does not take a part of the Prize at the time set by NAB, the winner will forfeit that part. NAB accepts no responsibility for changes in Prize value. If a Prize is unavailable, NAB will substitute it for one of equal or greater value.

As a condition of accepting the Prize, winners agree to take (and provide to NAB) an image/photograph of themselves whilst they are attending the Ronan Keating concert and consent to NAB using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by NAB. Each winner also licenses and grants NAB, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their photograph for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.

Winners will be notified in writing by email and by telephone.

Prize Claim Date & Time

The Prize must be claimed by 01/11/2016.

Prize Delivery

The Prize will be emailed or sent to Winners before the show dates, to an agreed address

Conditions of Entry

  1. These Conditions of Entry must be read together with the Schedule. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.
  2. Entry is open to residents of the Applicable State/s who comply with the Entry Requirements (if any). Entries submitted by Ineligible Entrants are not accepted. If entry is permitted to persons under 18, those entrants must first obtain consent of their parent or guardian.
  3. The competition will be run during the Competition Period.
  4. To enter, entrants must follow the Entry Method, noting any Entry Details, and submit their entries during the Competition Period.
  5. Entrants may only submit up to the Maximum Number of Entries.
  6. All valid entries will be entered into the competition. Entries must be received during the Competition Period. NAB has no control over telecommunications networks and accepts no responsibility for problems associated with them. Entries deemed received at the time of receipt into NAB’s database, not at the time of transmission. Entries submitted using any form of automated entry device or software are ineligible. Entries not fully complying with these Conditions of Entry will be deemed invalid. NAB accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, delayed, corrupted, illegible or misdirected entries whether due to error, omission, alteration, deletion, destruction, transmission interruption, tampering, theft, destruction failure or otherwise.
  7. The best valid entry or entries, as determined by the judges according to the Entry Criteria, will win the Prize described in the Schedule. The Total Prize Pool is set out in the Schedule.
  8. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining winners. Each valid entry will be individually judged on the basis of the Judging Criteria. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. All entries will become NAB’s property. Each entry must be entrant’s original work and entrants agree that NAB may make copies of or publish their entry in any form or media. Entrants warrant that their entry is not, and its use by NAB will not be, in breach of any person’s intellectual property rights or any other rights.
  10. In consideration for awarding a Prize to a winner, winners agree to participate in any promotional activity regarding winning the Prize and consent to their name and image being used in promotional material without payment.
  11. Where a Prize consists of travel, travel may be restricted to period other than peak periods and must be booked and completed in accordance with any terms prescribed by NAB and/or the travel arranger. If the Prize is event based, travel must coincide with the event dates. Flights and accommodation are subject to availability. Winners and any travel companions are responsible for all other costs associated with the Prize including but not limited to meals, taxes, travel insurance and other ancillary costs. If the Prize involves overseas travel, winners and any travel companions are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary documents such as valid passports and visas, should consult their medical practitioner and check travel warnings with the relevant authorities (eg DFAT) prior to travel. NAB is not responsible for any cancellation, delay or rescheduling of travel or any costs incurred by the winner and any travel companion as a result.
  12. Entrants acknowledge that there may be some inherent risks is some aspects of using the Prize and that it is their responsibility to ensure that they are sufficiently healthy and fit so as to undertake activities associated with the Prize. It is a condition of accepting such Prize that upon request the winner will sign a legal release in favour of NAB and/or the issuer of the Prize and the agencies associated with the competition.
  13. Winners will be notified by the Notification Method described in the Schedule.
  14. NAB may request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated Prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of NAB.
  15. Prizes must be claimed by the Prize Claim Date and Time otherwise that winner will forfeit the Prize and NAB will distribute the Prize to the next best valid entry that has not already received a Prize. Where a Prize is no longer available, for example, because the date of an event has passed, the new Prize winner will receive a Prize as determined by NAB of equal or higher value.
  16. To the extent permitted by law, NAB does not warrant and makes no representations that any Prize will be fit for any purpose or will be of merchantable quality. If liability under any terms implied at law cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law, the liability of NAB and its associated agencies is limited to the re-supply of the Prize or the cost of its re-supply. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in Australia, except where NAB is legally permitted to do so.
  17. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion is affected for any reason, NAB may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, change or suspend the competition. NAB may disqualify any individual who tampers (or benefits from the tampering) with the entry process or the conduct of the competition or who has, in NAB’s opinion, engaged in conduct which is fraudulent, misleading or generally damaging to the reputation of NAB or has breached these Conditions of Entry.
  18. NAB will not be liable for any loss (including without limitation, consequential or indirect loss), cost or damage, personal injury or death which is suffered (whether or not due to the negligence of any person) in connection with entering the competition or using the Prize, except any liability which cannot be excluded by law (and if so, that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
  19. NAB accepts no responsibility for the tax implications of Prize winnings. If entry is limited to NAB employees and contractors and the Prize value is over $2000, NAB will pay any FBT payable on Prize winnings. Where the total of benefits (including Prizes) received by an entrant during an FBT year exceeds $2000, this amount is required to be grossed-up and reported on their payment summary. Winners should obtain independent tax advice to determine how this may affect their circumstances.
  20. The personal information entrants provide will be used by NAB, and may be disclosed to its agents, solely to conduct the competition and distribute the Prize. Entry is conditional on providing the requested personal information. For more information about NAB’s privacy practices, including how to request access to personal information held by it and/or request that it be corrected, view NAB’s Privacy Policy at or call 13 22 65 (or 1300 363 647 for hearing impaired individuals with telephone typewriters). The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. NAB will not disclose entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia.
