Actuarial Graduate Traineeship
The Actuarial Graduate Traineeship is an opportunity to become a permanent member within one of the MLC Actuarial teams, with exposure to areas including, Actuarial Control or Pricing & Profitability.
Graduates will participate in a 12 month traineeship with access to both on the job and skill based training courses. Study support is also available for the professional Part 3 Actuarial Exams.
The role will involve providing actuarial and other technical support in order to ensure the timely delivery of the team's output. This may include monthly reporting of policy liabilities, analysis of life company profits, business valuation, input to business plans, product pricing and profitability modelling, experience analysis and other value add financial work for use in management decision-making.
Selection Criteria
- Outstanding academic results.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated participation in extra-curricular or community activities.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold Australian permanent residency.
- Successfully completed an Actuarial Degree by the end of 2011
