Best thing about your job: Possibly everything... from the places you go, the ballets you do, to the people involved. But most of all, doing the thing I love most as a job!
Worst thing about your job: Probably the more physical side to it like feeling tired sometimes, and injuries too.
Favourite Ballet role: Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, but I must say I do also love Keitri from Don Quixote.
Most embarrassing career moment: On the dancers company we did a ballet called graduation ball, I played the character Pigtails, there's a part where she has to jump up on a chair, well I got a little excited and jumped a bit to quickly and fast and fell right off it almost on my bottom! Very funny!
Favourite food: Thai food, or Italian- I can't choose just one.
Favourite music: Anything you can sing along to.
Favourite ballet move: Fouettes- I love the feeling of continuously turning. Also I love to jump.
Growing up, who was your hero? Apart from my Mum, my Nanna was one of the most special people to me, and she really was my hero and inspiration. The love and support she gave me was something I'll always remember.
Tell us about your first ballet concert: For my very first ballet concert : I did a ballet where we were all little dolls and had our very own dolls houses. I remember loving it so much!
Other sports you played / hobbies you had or have still: Well growing up I was a little bit of a tom-boy because I was always with my older brother, so I would play every type of sport possible! But the hobbies I have now are a little more art related.
Tell us something we'd never guess about you: I'm half Sri-Lankan, half Australian, I love books, and am obsessed with tea, I also want to get a farm one day and have lots and lots of animals there. I also have 2 cats and a dog.
What did you eat for breakfast this morning? A green tea and some yummy cereal.
Best advice you've been given along the way: My Mum always tells me to believe in myself and keep working hard to achieve your dreams.
What is your advice to young dancers? To always work hard and keep doing what makes you happy!
How many pairs of shoes do you go through in one year OR in one performance? To be honest, too many to count probably about two pairs a week, but it depends on also what ballet you're doing at that moment in time. Could be more, could be less.
