We all know of someone who has suffered the effects of cancer, heart disease or stroke. In fact, one in four women and one in three men will suffer some form of cancer in the first 75 years of life1. Today, there is a 50% chance of a 40 year old man and a 33% chance of a 40 year old woman developing coronary heart disease2. The chances of major illness striking you down are very real no matter how young or healthy you are.

A Financial Planning Benefit is available when MLC pays a lump sum benefit of at least $100,000 to a beneficiary under MLC Personal Protection Portfolio. MLC will cover the reasonable cost, up to $2,000 per life insured, for a fully documented financial plan prepared by a qualified Financial Adviser for the beneficiary. Where there is more than one beneficiary of the lump sum benefit, the right to the Financial Planning Benefit will be divided equally between those beneficiaries who each receive a benefit of at least $100,000. This benefit also applies to Terminal Illness Support.
