Why do I get a black screen in my browser when trying to open Smart Statements?

This problem may occur if you are using the Safari browser to access your statements and is a result of the way that Safari treats PDF documents. When you attempt to directly open a PDF in Safari (as opposed to downloading it to your computer), a black screen will be displayed while the PDF loads. This screen could be displayed for up to two minutes while the document loads. To avoid this problem, it is recommended that Safari users download Smart Statements to their computers before opening or disable the Safari Acrobat plugin.
