Your signature and authority

You will be required to give NAB instructions as to who will be authorised and in what manner, to sign on your account/s and amend your account details. For example, for a joint account, authorised signatories may be 'any one' or 'any two' of the joint account holders.

Where you elect to have a third party signatory, we will require that individual to undertake the relevant identification requirements, as well as providing us with a specimen signature. You will need to provide sufficient identification when withdrawing cash from a joint account or transferring funds to other accounts using our branch network.

If arrangements are made, you can also transfer funds using our NAB Internet Banking and NAB Telephone Banking facilities.

Any signed withdrawals must be in accordance with the signing authority provided to NAB. Both the signing instructions and the sample signatures will be obtained from you upon completion of the account form.

These instructions form part of the contract with NAB and may be altered at the request of yourself and, if applicable, the other joint account holders. Instructions for any accounts can be varied by the completion of a new authority and you may do this at any branch of NAB.

Any party to a joint account can require NAB to operate the account only on the signature of all parties. This might be done if there is a dispute between the joint account holders.
