Changing your credit card limit

If you use NAB Internet Banking you can lower your credit limit any time, or request an increase online. Open the Apply now menu and select Credit card credit limit. If you reduce your limit, the change is immediate.

If you don't use NAB Internet Banking, you might want to register now.

Or by downloading and completing the Credit card limit increase/decrease application (PDF, 387KB), and then return this:

• in person at any NAB branch
• by fax to 1300 363 689
• by post to:
  Consumer and Commercial Cards
  Reply Paid 9992
  Melbourne VIC 8060

Otherwise you can request a new credit limit by calling us on 13 22 65 from 7am-9pm Mon-Fri, or 8am-6pm on weekends (AEDT/AEST). The number to call if you're overseas is +61 3 8641 9083.

We process limit reductions as soon as possible. If you request an increase, we'll assess your request and let you know in a few days.

How low can you go?

If you're lowering your credit limit, you can't go any lower than your current balance. You also can't go lower than:

• Platinum cards: $12,000
• NAB flybuys Rewards Card: $6,000
• Gold cards: $5,000
• Other cards: $500
