You can apply online right now - it takes less than 10 minutes and you don't need to be a NAB customer
Things you should know before applying
If you have a Financial Planner or Adviser, we suggest you speak to them about opening a NAB Cash Manager
You need to be over 18 years old to apply online
You can apply for a single or joint account
If you're an existing NAB customer, you'll need your NAB ID number
You may want to provide your Tax File Number, but it is not required. However if you choose not to provide these details, NAB is required to collect withholding tax on the interest you earn
If the account is to be in the name of a Trust or Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF), you will need the following:
Name and address of the Trust/SMSF
Details of other NAB accounts for the Trust/SMSF, including NAB Identification Number
You will also be required to visit a NAB branch to finalise the opening of your account
Please note Trusts in a business name are ineligible to apply
After you submit your application
Once you've completed the form, you'll receive a confirmation webpage and automatic email (to the email address you have provided) to confirm your application was successfully submitted. Your email address will only be used to communicate with you about your application
A Welcome Pack will be sent to you in the mail that will contain more information about the next steps
If you aren't already a NAB customer, you will need to complete a 100 point identification check before you can withdraw any money from your account.
NAB will never email you requesting any personal information, such as your account name or number
Online applications are protected by encryption so your details stay safe
You can also apply by calling us on 13 13 12, 8am to 9pm Melbourne time, 7 days a week, or drop into any NAB branch. Hearing impaired customers with telephone typewriters can contact us on 13 36 77.
