Switch to NAB

We can help you switch your regular payments (salary, direct debits and credits) from another bank over to your NAB account.

Online switching tool:

Use our switching tool to create letters that you can print, sign, and send to companies that need your new bank details.

They'll look like this example (PDF, 25kb).

If you would prefer to complete these letters manually, you can download these letter templates (PDF, 154kb).

Contact companies directly:

Many companies accept new bank account details by phone, online, or by fax. Check our directory of common companies (PDF, 500kb) for listings that are useful to you.

Visit a NAB Branch:

You can ask your old bank to print a list of regular payments you've had to and from your old account. Bring that list into any NAB branch and we’ll talk you through the switching process.

New credit or debit card details?

If you need to switch your regular payments coming out of your NAB debit or credit card or if you are an existing NAB customer and your credit or debit card details have changed (E.g. expiry date) you can use the switching tool to generate letters to notify your providers - just enter your debit and/or credit details in the 'Bank details' section.

To help identify your regular payments, look at past statements to identify and make a list of those you have setup using your previous card details. To help you keep track of your regular debit or credit card payments you can use this template (PDF, 44kb).

If you would prefer to complete this letter manually, you can use this debit or credit card letter template (PDF, 110kb).
