Once you are in Australia, you can do all your everyday banking over the phone just by calling 13 22 65.

NAB Branches

If you'd like to speak to us in person, we have over 850 branches across Australia. Standard trading hours are 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 5pm on Friday, with many branches also open for extended trading hours on Saturdays.

Cheques

A NAB Classic Banking account gives you an optional cheque book if that's your preferred method of payment.

International Transfers

You'll receive cheaper international transfers2 when you make your transfers through NAB Internet Banking.

To open a NAB Classic Banking account before you arrive in Australia, fill out the
International Students Application Form. It's easy and takes just 10 minutes.

Once you've opened your account, you'll be able to start transferring money into your new NAB Classic Banking account, but you won't be able to withdraw money until you have completed your ID requirements in Australia.

To open a NAB iSaver or NAB Term Deposit, you'll need to be already located in Australia. Once you are, you can apply by calling us on 13 13 12 from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 9pm, Saturday to Sunday (AEDT/AEST), or by visiting any NAB branch.

  2. International Transfer is an easy way to pay money to an overseas beneficiary. A standard fee of $22 is applicable to an International Transfer completed via NAB Internet Banking. A fee of $30 applies to International Transfers made at NAB branches.
