In 1997 NAB became the first publicly listed company to lodge a Disability Action Plan with the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) under the Disability Discrimination Act.
Employment of people with a disability is one of the major initiatives to be implemented as a result of this action plan. The key objectives are to remove barriers and maximise the employment prospects of people with a disability. Reasonable adjustments, if required, will be accommodated during the recruitment process.
