Diversity at NAB is about creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential; where you feel confident about expressing challenging and diverse views. Different perspectives help us to identify opportunities and succeed in new markets.
"NAB considers abilities, not disabilities, when recruiting people" says Hilary Crowe, General Manager for Strategy & Development, People & Organisational Development.
Sarah Liddelow started with NAB in 2006. At 14 years old, Sarah had her leg amputated because of cancer & now uses crutches to get around. When Sarah finished school she trained with the Paralympic Development Alpine Ski Team for two years in America and Canada. Sarah returned to Australia to obtain a Bachelor in Psychology.
Sarah started her career at NAB in Lending Services, WA, and has recently been appointed to another position within Retail Banking.
"It's great to work for an organisation that values its employees & is willing to accommodate their needs", says Sarah.
Sarah's physical disability didn't stop NAB recognising her potential.
NAB has a strong partnership with Disability Works Australia (DWA) to help us attract, select and retain employees with a disability. For more information, or assistance, please email graduate_careers@nab.com.au
