I started my career as a graduate in the banking industry, and this led to a number of opportunities in Australia and internationally. The experience and knowledge I gained has been invaluable in my career to date.
My advice to you, as a graduate, is to learn the business from the grass roots; understand what drives the business so you can make a difference. Focus on achieving great outcomes in your role today, and keep your eye firmly on the customer as this will stand you in the best stead for career progression. Focus on developing great business and customer relationships, and on how you can make a difference.
