Internet Banking registration
You can set up NAB Internet Banking without calling us if we know your mobile phone number, or if you know your NAB Telephone Banking password.
Disputing charges on your credit card, Visa Debit card or charge card
Before you dispute a transaction
- Are you looking at a "Purchase authorisation"? This charge is still processing, so it's too early to begin a dispute.
- Did someone with a card of their own go shopping without you? Check with additional cardholders who can access the account.
- Does the shop or merchant have unfamiliar details on your statement? Sometimes it's hard to recognise businesses from their banking information (it might be a business name or head office location, for example). Double-check the amount against your receipts just in case.
- Is this a store or merchant you've shopped with before? The transaction might be a direct debit that they're authorised to make. If it is, you'll need to contact the merchant directly.
Way to register a dispute
- Login to NAB Internet Banking and send us a secure message (from the Mailbox menu) – select the subject "Electronic transaction dispute"
- Print a copy of the credit card purchases disputed transaction advice form (PDF, 57KB) and fax or post it back to us
- Call us on 13 22 65 or +61 3 8641 9121 (personal customers), 1300 730 213 (Platinum cardholders), or 13 10 12 (business customers) – phone hours are below
- See us at any NAB branch.
Account balances
You can check your account, credit card or loan balance with NAB Internet Banking or NAB Telephone Banking (24 hours, 7 days: 13 22 65 or +61 3 8641 9083).
Replacement cards
The easiest way to order a replacement for a damaged or expired credit card, NAB Visa Debit card or NAB debit card is through NAB Internet Banking.
Login, open the Mailbox menu and select Create secure message. Use the subject "Product enquiry" or "Credit card enquiry".
You should receive your replacement card within 5-7 days.

Changing your address or contact details
If you're registered for NAB Internet Banking and you use either SMS Security or BPAY ViewTM, you can change your address and contact details online.
Login to NAB Internet Banking, open the My settings menu and select Contact details.

Credit cards – changing your credit limit
Change your credit limit in NAB Internet Banking
Login to NAB Internet Banking, open the Apply now menu and select Credit card credit limit.
- If you lower your credit limit, it will apply immediately.
- If you request a higher limit we'll assess your request and get back to you within a few days.

How low can you go?If you're lowering your credit limit, you can't go any lower than your current balance. You also can't go lower than:
- Platinum cards: $12,000
- Gold cards: $5,000
- Other cards: $500
