As part of NAB becoming carbon neutral by 2010, we have recently agreed to purchase electricity which is generated by Victorian wind farms.
The green power from Victorian wind farms is accredited under the Federal Government's Renewable Electricity Accreditation program, which sets stringent environmental and reporting standards for renewable electricity products.
NAB has agreed to purchase this green power for the next two years to deliver on our promise to source 5% of our total electricity requirements from renewable sources in 2008-09 and 10% in 2009-10.
By purchasing accredited green power, NAB will cut energy emissions and help drive demand for green energy, encouraging further development of this industry.
