About Garry Lyon
Garry Lyon was one of the stars of the AFL throughout the late eighties and nineties.  Recruited from Kyabram, Lyon made an immediate impression at Melbourne.  Lyon was outstanding, winning two club best and fairests, gained All-Australian selection and led the club's goalkicking. His on-field presence and outstanding play made him an ideal captain, a post he held from 1991 - 97.

One of today's most accomplished media presenters, he is recognised as a credible and knowledgeable football broadcaster. Garry’s media commitments encompass his role with the Nine Network, primarily as a co-host of The Footy Show. Garry is a key member of Triple M's AFL coverage and is a well-known writer, working as both a columnist for the Herald Sun and as a co-author of the popular Specky Magee series.

Garry’s role as a NAB AFL Ambassador is to help build awareness, recognition, and coverage of NAB’s AFL Sponsorship.
