Mock interviews help migrants
NAB volunteers are using their business skills to help newly arrived skilled migrants find work in Australia.
NAB employees are entitled to two days paid volunteer leave each year. Four Melbourne-based staff recently attended the South Central Region Migrant Resource Centre and New Hope Foundation in Oakleigh for a day to put their volunteer leave to good use.
The NAB team posed as prospective employers holding mock interviews for recently arrived skilled migrants looking to obtain professional employment opportunities.
The South Central Region Migrant Resource Centre and New Hope Foundation provides settlement, welfare, aged care, employment and training programs to refugees and migrants.
