Stuck for meaningful Christmas gift ideas? NAB is supporting an unusual charity gifts catalogue that could solve all your problems.

Some 200,000 NAB customers will receive the novel CAREgifts Catalogue from aid agency CARE Australia with their banking statements next week. Titled "Nothing says 'I love you' like a piglet" the catalogue aims to 'do a world of good' for some of the world's poorest people.

On offer are goats, pigs and cows; rice, maize and soybean seeds; simple farming tool kits and animal shelters; buckets and toilets: practical solutions for the most pressing problems in developing countries. The idea is to donate the cost of these items to CARE Australia, and the charity provides them to the communities where they are most needed.

Each purchaser receives a gift card detailing what has been purchased, and how it will help the community it is destined for. The cards can be sent as a gift to family and friends.

Gifts start at $10 for a mosquito net and go all the way up to $9450 to build a classroom for a village. There's something for everyone!
