Employees win volunteering award

NAB's South Australian employees have been formally recognised for their volunteering efforts by the Government of South Australia's 2006 Premiers Business Award.

The aim of the award is to recognise and honour those companies in SA that are leading the way in making a difference in our community through both volunteer service and supporting volunteer service.

NAB provides two days paid volunteer leave each year for its employees. Our people use this leave to carry out voluntary work for non-profit organisations in their communities.

The potential impact is significant considering NAB has over 20,000 employees in Australia with the opportunity to offer over 40,000 days of volunteering each year.

The Hon Jennifer Rankine, Minister for Volunteers SA, presented the award to NAB on Monday 12 June -National Volunteers Day - at the Festival Theatre in Adelaide.
