NAB Rising Star Club Recognition Award eligibility rules
- The NAB Club Recognition Award ("Award") is awarded by National Australia Bank ("NAB").
- Subject to these rules, and in NAB's discretion, it is intended that an Award will be made in respect of each AFL player nominated for the NAB AFL Rising Star (as judged by the AFL), if it is the first time they have been nominated for the award. Each of these players will be a "Qualifying Player".
- A football club is eligible to receive an Award where it:
- in the reasonable opinion of NAB (in consultation with the AFL), has a "Genuine Relationship" with a Qualifying Player;
- is not a "State league" (ie, VFL, SANFL, WAFL, etc) club;
- is not a team of or associated with any particular school; and
- has not received an Award from NAB in the same AFL season.
- Without limiting NAB's discretion, a club will generally be considered to have a Genuine Relationship with a Qualifying Player if:
- the Qualifying Player has been a registered player with the club for at least three years and the club can provide documentary substantiation of such registration; or
- the Qualifying Player has been a registered player with the club for less than three years but has not been a registered player with any other club during the previous three years.
