NAB AFL Auskick
NAB AFL Auskick is a program that brings communities together, supporting children in a well-organised, accessible and affordable activity that promotes healthy activity in a safe environment.
Every week over 168,000 children and their parents head to one of 2,800 Auskick centres across the country to participate. They are supported by 20,000 volunteers. NAB’s support helps make the program accessible and affordable for families to get involved.
NAB supports Auskick because it brings parents together and empowers and connects people to regenerate local bonds. We can provide assistance through programs such as Auskick to help prepare young people for life by teaching values of teamwork and commitment. Auskick is a tangible way we can show that we take seriously our ability to put something back into the communities in which we operate.
Once the season is underway, NAB and the AFL will commence the search for the 2012 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year.
Twenty-two nominees will be rewarded for best reflecting teamwork, enthusiasm, commitment and passion.
The successful Auskickers will travel to Melbourne to march in the 2012 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade, play on the MCG at halftime and present medals to the premiership players.
Additionally, the 2012 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year will receive Joel Selwood as a footy mentor in 2013 and $5,000 in a NAB Smart Junior Saver Account.
