NAB has proudly supported the NAB Cup since 2006.

One of the great features of the NAB Cup is the ability to take the game to regional towns across Australia, providing thousands of people around the country the opportunity to experience footy at the elite level.

Additionally, the NAB Cup provides a fantastic opportunity to see the young stars, many of whom have come through the NAB AFL Rising Stars program, debut on the big stage.

NAB and the AFL share a vision about the importance of building communities and that’s why we’re delighted to have recently renewed our partnership with the AFL for a further five years.

We’re proud to continue to partner with the AFL and to support vital programs which enable us to make a positive impact in many communities around Australia and nurture the potential of young Australians.

The revised NAB Cup format

In a new development for the 2012 NAB Cup, all 18 clubs have had all matches fixtured for the opening three rounds of the competition. Each club will play two shortened matches in their week one pool against the other two sides, comprising two 20-minute halves across a three-hour window for the three matches.

Clubs will then play full-scale matches in weeks two and three of the NAB Cup. All matches across the three rounds (two shortened games and two full games) will count equally for four points and percentage, with the two best-performed teams over the opening three rounds to compete in the NAB Cup Grand Final on Saturday March 17.
