National Australia Bank's new economy business incubator and accelerator O2-e Limited has, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, entered into an agreement with Concert, the global joint venture between AT&T and BT, to provide electronic procurement services to SME and corporate entities, focussing initially on Australia and the UK. The platform for the on-line e-procurement service is software developed by Commerce One (C1), a leading provider of e-procurement and e-commerce solutions, and will be hosted by Concert. Accessing the C1 solution through this hosted environment eliminates the need for business to develop and manage their own e-procurement technology and infrastructure. This e-procurement offering has been successfully trialed and tested and will be launched into the market before the end of this calendar year. This is the second major e-commerce partnership entered into by O2-e this year following the alliance with the application service provider Peakhour announced in September. This e-procurement offering highlights the National's commitment to providing innovative solutions that enable it's business customers to participate in and profit from the new economy.
