National Increases Lending Rates - 5 May 2000

National Australia Bank will increase a range of lending interest rates in line with the 0.25% increase in the official cash rate. The National's variable rate home loan will increase to 7.80% from Monday May 8.

National Tailored Home Loan Package fixed rate home loan rates will rise by 0.25% for the six month and one year periods. Fixed rate home loans for other periods will rise by 0.20%.

Interest rates applying to business loans, unsecured variable rate personal loans and credit cards will also rise by 0.25%.
