National opens New Toowoomba Financial Services Centre - 26 November 2001

The National today opened a new Financial Services Centre in Toowoomba that will offer personal customers the services of a professional team of specialists to assist them with their financial services needs.

The Financial Services Centre will also support the branch network in the South West area of Queensland.

"The new Financial Services Centre in Toowoomba is part of the National's commitment to improve customer service across the network," said Ms Sharyn Gordon, Head of Personal Financial Services, Rural Queensland.

"The new FSC will service the region from west of Toowoomba to Quilpie, Kingaroy, and Warwick. It will include Goondiwindi, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Roma. The branch network will continue to service the daily transactional needs of all National customers, together with Australia Post outlets that service personal customers.

"The new structure will also assist business and agricultural clients as our business and agricultural banking staff will work closely with the staff at the new FSC.

"The Toowoomba FSC will be home for the Sales Manager, Sales and Service Manager, and most of their team members. New services will also be provided from the FSC, including Financial Planners and Mobile Mortgage Managers.

"Financial Planners will assist customers with their wealth creation needs, and Mobile Mortgage Managers will visit customers at a location suitable to the customer to assist them with their home loan requirements.

"Customers will also be able to obtain insurance advice and products from the FSC," added Sharyn.
