National Australia Bank has designed a unique financial package, called National Business Booster, which offers a special, low interest rate to businesses looking to expand or invest and a range of other benefits. National Business Booster is available from 5 March to September 2001. It includes a variable rate business loan for which the interest rate is set at 1.5% below the National's current Business Base Term rate for three-years. The Business Booster loan has been introduced with an annual interest rate of just 7.85%. Business owners who require finance to start a new business or fund expansion can apply for the Booster package. Other optional features include: a National Business Access Card with no application fee for limits up to $20,000, reduced premiums on selected business protection products and free financial advice from a National financial planner. Mr Peter Coleman, the National's General Manager, Business Financial Services, said the new package demonstrated the National's commitment to helping the small and medium enterprise market grow and capitalise on new business opportunities. "Business Booster represents great value for businesses looking to expand, with a lower than normal interest rate for three years and other product concessions. "As Australia's leading lender to the business market, the National is ideally placed to package together innovative financial and non-financial solutions that save businesses time and money. "With the Booster Package, you can quickly and cost-effectively establish your finance, business credit cards and business insurance with the one provider. You also have the benefit of a guaranteed low rate of interest for three years of the life of the loan," Mr Coleman said. A $500 application fee applies to the National Business Booster loan, however, the normal application fee for the Business Access Card (1% of the approved limit) will be waived.
