The National's Executive General Manager of Financial Services Australia, Mr Ian MacDonald, today officially opened the National's new Financial Service Centre in Geelong. The Financial Service Centre will house a professional team of specialists to assist National customers with a wide range of their financial services needs. "The new Financial Service Centre in Geelong is part of the National's commitment to provide financial solutions to a wide range of customers across Australia. It has involved an investment of $1.65 million to create our new centre," said Mr MacDonald. The National's investment in the Geelong region is part of a significant program to build 16 new Financial Service Centres and upgrade others across Australia. The new Centre will service Geelong and the surrounding region, including from Werribee to the Surf Coast. The Geelong FSC will be home for around 60 staff including the Sales Manager, Sales and Service Manager, Business, Agribusiness and Personal Bankers. New services will also be provided from the Financial Service Centre, including insurance and financial planning. The branch network will continue to service the daily transactional needs of all National customers, together with Australia Post outlets that service personal customers. The new structure will also assist business and agricultural clients as our business and agricultural banking staff will work closely with the staff at the new Financial Service Centre.
