Mackay Mayor officially opens National's new Mackay Financial Service Centre - 24 October 2002

The Mayor of Mackay, Her Worship the Mayor Councillor Julie Boyd, today officially opened the National's new Financial Service Centre in Mackay.  The new Centre will provide National customers with the services of a professional team of specialists to assist them with their financial services needs.

"The new Financial Service Centre in Mackay is part of the National's commitment to improve customer service across the network.  It has involved an investment of $570,000 to create our new centre," said Ms Sharyn Gordon, the National's Region Manager for Northern Australia.

"The National has made a major commitment to the Mackay region and the re-invigoration of our main shopping and business precinct," said the Mackay Mayor, Ms Julie Boyd.

The new Centre will service the region surrounding Mackay, including Rockhampton, Airlie Beach, Emerald and the Moranbah area.

The Mackay FSC will be home for 70 staff including the Sales Manager, Sales and Service Manager, Business, Agribusiness and Personal Bankers.   New services will also be provided from the Financial Service Centre, including insurance and financial planning.

The branch network will continue to service the daily transactional needs of all National customers, together with Australia Post outlets that service personal customers.

The new structure will also assist business and agricultural clients as our business and agricultural banking staff will work closely with the staff at the new FSC.
