NAB Agribusiness Growth Programme

Australians and New Zealanders have long been among the world's great innovators on the farm. So why aren't our primary producers better represented on our two countries' rich lists? Because while we're experts at creating the product, we're weaker at generating the greatest possible wealth from it.

What is it?

Three of Australasia's leading universities have joined forces to offer a course that addresses this fundamental issue - the NAB Agribusiness Growth Programme.

NAB Agribusiness is once again encouraging Australian farmers to join a select group of agribusiness leaders and entrepreneurs by attending the NAB Agribusiness Growth Programme, run in conjunction with ICEHOUSE. This is a course specifically tailored for owner-managers in the agribusiness industry, including food and beverage processors, growers, farmers and fishermen.

The purpose of the programme is to develop the skills, resources and knowledge required to build and strengthen your business. The focus is on providing solutions to significant "threshold issues" which can create or impede value creation in agribusinesses.  The programme will help you and your family create a plan for business and personal growth.

Who should go?

You'll benefit from the programme if:

  • You're a successful agribusiness owner who has grown up inside your business
  • You've worked without mentors or a close support network other than family
  • You work long hours, and have a poor work/family balance
  • You often work without support in the business, so are unable to get away
  • You suffer from high stress levels or loss of excitement and motivation
  • You're too busy working "IN" the business rather than "ON" the business

How does the programme work?

The three four-day blocks are scheduled to take place in Australia and in New Zealand. The ICEHOUSE has three facilitators who provide a good mix of academic and practical expertise. They reinforce commonsense and business acumen which is supported by expert agribusiness practitioners who share their real life experiences in a flexible learning environment.
