Usage
When will I receive the NAB Alert?
You can select to receive your account balance alerts at either 8am, 11am, 2pm or 5pm (AEST/AEDT). You can also choose the date of your first Alert when you set it up in Internet Banking.
How is my balance calculated?
For savings and transactions accounts, your balance may include any uncleared funds. For example, a cheque that has not been cleared will be included in the balance. This means that your balance may be greater than the funds available for you to access, at the time of the alert.
For credit cards, the balance may include transactions that you have made but which have not yet been processed by the merchant's bank. For example, if you buy something today from a shop, your balance alert will include this in the balance displayed even though the transaction has not been finalised and officially processed.
How current is my Alert?
Information contained in the NAB Alert will be current at the time NAB creates the NAB Alert rather than as at the time of receipt or delivery. If delivery of the message is delayed by your mobile phone provider or email service provider, the balance may be out of date.
Can I receive alerts from more than one mobile phone or email address?
No. You can only activate NAB Alerts on either one mobile phone number or email address. If you change your NAB Alerts mobile phone number or email address, you can update these details in NAB Internet Banking under the Settings - NAB Alerts or by calling the NAB Internet & SMS Banking Support Team on 1300 651 656.
Please be advised that updating your mobile number for NAB Alerts will also update your mobile number for SMS Banking.
What if I don’t receive an alert?
Please confirm that your mobile number and email address are correct in NAB Internet Banking under Settings - NAB Alerts.
If after 5 consecutive return deliveries to the nominated email address NAB cannot complete an email alert, your NAB Alerts will be disabled and a secure message will be sent to you via NAB Internet Banking. You will then need to re-register for NAB Alerts.
