 How do I access Telephone Banking?

Call 13 BANK, Monday-Friday 8am-8pm EST. Simply enter your NAB ID and password and you are ready to begin banking. You can also visit our Features for a guide.

Telephone Banking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week* and can be accessed from any telephone around the world.

Simply:

1. Call 13 BANK

2. Enter your NAB ID and press # (Your NAB ID is located on the back of your Credit Card or Debit Card)

3. Enter your Telephone banking password and press #

Can I change my password?

Yes, in fact for security reasons we recommend you change your Telephone banking password regularly. Your password can be changed at any time by calling 13 BANK and selecting option 4 and then option 3. Remember your password must be between 6 and 8 digits long and consist of a combination of numbers.

There are some rules in place to help protect you when selecting your password:

1. Do not use your date of birth, telephone number, or other easily known personal information as your password

2. It is very important that you protect your password, by not recording it anywhere and by making it known ONLY to you

3. You will not be able to re-use a password you have used previously

What do I do if I forget my Telephone Banking password?

If you forget your password or enter an incorrect password 3 times consecutively, you will be asked to register a new password. Call 13BANK or attend any NAB branch and a Customer Service Representative will assist you.

What call charges are involved for Telephone Banking?

When calling 13 BANK locally or interstate, the most you will be charged is the cost of a local call. When calling from a mobile phone you will be charged the cost of a local call, plus any mobile carrier charges that are applicable. When calling from overseas, calls will be charged at standard overseas rates.

How do I change the account I hear a balance of immediately after I have logged in?

The account can be changed simply by speaking to a Customer Service Representative, Monday-Friday between 8.00am-8.00pm AEST. Simply enter your NAB ID and password, then press *  6 to speak to an operator, who can assist you in changing the account balance heard.

Are there daily transaction limits for Telephone Banking?

Funds transfers between your linked accounts at the NAB and Bill Payments to a BPAY® biller do not have a daily limit. (Individual BPAY® billers may impose their own transfer limits).

Can I use the same password for Telephone banking and Internet Banking?

No, for password security protection your Telephone and Internet banking passwords must be different. As an added security measure, your Internet banking password must be between 6 and 8 characters and contain at least one numeric and alpha character.

Once I have a NAB ID and Telephone Banking password, will I have access to any other services?

Once you have set up a NAB ID and Telephone banking password, you will be able to register for NAB Internet banking, National On-line trading, and have secure access to speak to a customer service representative Monday-Friday 8am-8pm EST.
