National Australia Bank (NAB) is making it easier for customers to do their banking on-the-move, upgrading its Apple iPhone and Google Android apps.
Sam Plowman, NAB's Executive General Manager of Direct Banking says NAB is leading the industry in making mobile banking quick, easy and convenient - on any smartphone or tablet.
Both the Google Android and Apple iPhone versions of the NAB app now give customers an option to set a four digit passcode, meaning it will take just seconds to log-in to their accounts.
Customers' individual passcodes are linked with their device, making it more secure than using their internet banking password - giving users even higher protection against fraud.
The new app also features a number of other user experience enhancements and now allows customers to set future-dated bill payments and funds transfers, without having to log-on via a PC.
Sam Plowman: "Mobile banking is NAB's fastest growing channel, with 300 per cent growth in the last year and one in three NAB internet banking logins now done on a mobile device.
"At NAB, we will continue to invest in giving customers more choice and convenience, making it easy to do everyday banking on a small screen and on-the-move.
"We determined to give customers the best experience, regardless of whether they choose do their banking in a branch, business centre, contact centre or online."
The changes were made based on feedback from more than 4000 customers, collected via social media and user surveys.
"Our customers are helping to set the agenda on how we improve our products and services.
"We are focussed on understanding what our customers want and how they want it – and delivering solutions that fit their lifestyles," he said.
NAB released banking applications for all the most popular smartphones and tablets in 2010 and since then has continued to make improvements. NAB Internet Banking has also been available through the browser on all web-enabled mobile phones since September 2009.
