What’s your story?
I’m a banker by day and a passionate soccer player by night (and weekends). I started my career at NAB as a casual teller and played soccer outside of work. Three knee reconstructions later, I had to find another way to use up my spare time so I studied two post graduate degrees. Upon graduating, my body was well-recovered so I took to the soccer field again and am kicking goals – with NAB backing me all the way.
How have you made a difference?
In my 9 years at NAB, I’ve learned a thing or two about what does and doesn’t work in a big corporate. Strong leadership and collaboration are two common themes in every successful team that I have been a part of. Both of these themes can be demonstrated by anyone (not just by managers/leaders) so I pride myself in bringing these qualities to work every single day. I do this by helping create an environment that fosters growth, development and success, by focussing on how I can bring the best out of my peers and myself in every situation and looking to build strong relationships with anyone and everyone.
What are you passionate about?
Soccer has been a big part of my life since I was a toddler, and I imagine it will continue to be for a little while. My life in the last decade would also suggest that I love travelling, spending time with friends and family and having a boogie on a sunny European island.
