What’s your story?
I am adventurous and love the challenge of integrating into different cultures and work processes. Despite being a Biologist, I have a customer service career-path across various industries including Agroforestry, Aviation, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare and the not-for-profit sectors in Kenya and Scotland. I joined NAB through the African Australian Inclusion Program (AAIP).
How have you made a difference?
I worked on the research project focused on the devastating effects of climate change caused by human encroachment on the Mangrove forests along the Kenyan coast, resulting in a peer-reviewed publication in the Western Indian Ocean Journal.
I also volunteered at a children’s orphanage for eight months during one of my career breaks. During this time I developed a photo gallery capturing 30 years-worth of history to help with fundraising.
Within NAB, I am a volunteer buddy for the African Australian Inclusion Program and a member of the Network of African Australian Professionals.
What are you passionate about?
I am particularly keen on corporate strategies that drive responsible business operations to support healthy environments, and working for Australia’s first carbon neutral bank makes me super proud! Taking nature walks is a long-standing hobby and the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden has no doubt become an all-time family favourite!
