Meet Ira

Name: Ira Roxas

Your role: Operations Analyst, Small Business Operations, Business Direct & Small Business

Region: Docklands, Victoria

What’s your story?

I was born in The Philippines and raised in Australia. From an early age my parents taught me the importance of resilience. I was 16 when I was diagnosed with Crigler-Najjar which makes me a one-in-a-million. I started at NAB three years ago and the culture has shaped who I am today.

I’m proud to say that I purchased my first home last year at the age of 21.

How have you made a difference?

My role is dedicated to supporting Small Business Bankers & Leaders. The way I view my role is that I can reach all of our customers through providing operations support to our people. Every day I strive to remove any operational barrier for our bankers so that they can be out there in the field (or centrally) doing what's most important; backing our customers. Achieving the best outcomes by providing efficient operational support, as well as driving business improvement is important to me.

What are you passionate about?

I love pushing myself to the limit (if there ever is a limit) and being surrounded by my fiancé and family who inspire me to be a better version of myself.
