Meet Udi

Name: Udi Gautam

Your role: Small Business Banking Manager

Region: Toowoomba, Queensland

What’s your story?

From the Himalayan county of Nepal to this great nation of Australia, my journey has been very interesting. When I was studying at uni in Sydney I was sleeping on a dumped mattress and eating on a dining table I picked up from a footpath in Western Sydney. Now I am part of one of the largest and most reputable organisations in Australia, which is a dream, come true

How have you made a difference?

Operating a small business can be a daunting and exciting time. As a Small Business Banker, my main goal has always been to develop trusted relationships with my customers. Letting my customers focus on running their businesses by taking the burden of thinking about their finances away, has been my priority since joining the small business team. I focus on having more face-to-face conversations with my customers so I can better understand their needs and develop personal relationships with them. I pride myself on being just a phone call or email away when my customers require my guidance and advice.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about walking with customers on their business journey. Besides work, I love spending time with my wife and two beautiful daughters. I am a big Australian Cricket fan and have a passion for media and photography. Along with my likeminded friends, I also run a charity organisation and have organised various events to help people in need.
