Changes to your NAB Card Insurance Policy Information Booklet

What is happening?

From December 1 2017, some changes will be made to your complimentary card insurance policy.

What are the changes?

The table below sets out these changes to the existing policy and includes the new policy wording. You’ll see the main changes:

  • Introduce a new term “NAB Visa Debit Card” which means the NAB Gold Visa Card or NAB Visa Platinum Debit Card. The Visa Platinum Debit Card has been added to the cover. This new term is used throughout the booklet.
  • A change to the Schedule of Benefits reflecting which NAB card is used to meet the eligibility criteria for the cover.
  • A change to the description of the period of your journey depending on the NAB card used to meet the eligibility criteria.

There are some other changes which are not included in the table. These changes have been made to simplify the wording or clarify the meaning to make it easier for you to read.

Otherwise the cover is the same for your NAB card.

What does it mean for me if the cover changes for my NAB card?

With your NAB card you still have access to 7 different insurance covers under the NAB Card Insurance Policy Information Booklet, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. Should you need to make a claim and the eligible transaction takes place on or before the 30th of November you will fall under the existing policy dated 03.07.17. If your eligible transaction occurs on or after the 1st of December, you will fall under the new insurance policy dated 13.11.17.

Where can I find the updated NAB Card Insurance Policy Booklet?

Your updated Booklet will be made available at www.nab.com.au/creditcardinsurance from November 13th 2017.
